This is one of my favorite flower arrangements: so airy, so pretty and so easy to put together.
The secret is a grid of tape which holds the blossoms – in this case: white hydrangeas and white cosmos from my garden, combined with chartreuse spider mums from the supermarket – upright in a shallow container. The result is a centerpiece that is simple, yet striking, with a low height that makes it conversation-friendly.
Clip the stems of flat-head flowers so that they are just a little bit taller than a waterproof container. (I used a 12-inch round baking pan, but any shape or size container will work.)
Make a grid of clear tape across the top and insert flower stems.
Place container in desired location and fill with water.
