I make these divine, little cookies all the time. My kids don’t like nuts, but these are excellent with chopped pecans. The recipe is from the back of the Nestle Mini Morsels bag and is supposed to be “America’s Favorite Cookie Recipe” – I agree!
2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp kosher salt 2 sticks of butter, softened 3/4 cup sugar 3/4 packed, brown sugar 1 tsp good quality vanilla extract 2 large eggs 1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips 1 cup chopped nuts (optional) Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, sugars, and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition; gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts (if using). Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake in preheated 375F oven for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Makes 50-60 cookies
