DIY: Container Herb Garden

I always had a little garden: in Manhattan I grew flowers and herbs in terra cotta pots on the fire escape. In Brooklyn we had a roof top patio with tons of potted plants and even now that I have a yard – I like to have my herbs close at hand, right outside my door in glazed, white pots, dotted with annual flowers. Here are some images of my little “garden” and some tips about herbs that have similar needs and grow best when they share a pot.

keep mint in a separate pot (mine lives in a large pot with a lonely chive plant) – all types of mint tend to take over a pot
